Calheta is ideally set on the SW coast of Madeira, in one of the sunniest and warmest parts of the island. The sandy beach and new marina, with its waterside bars and restaurants, makes it an ideal location for families and individuals alike. Locally there are cafe/bars, small shops, a mini-market and a pharmacy. The new roads mean that within 30 minutes you could be either in the bustling town of Funchal, with its harbour, casino, numerous bars, restaurants and nightlife or in the tranquil area of Paul do Serra for one of the many levada walks through the most beautiful and picturesque scenery. The amazing abundance of flowers, throughout the year, the wine and flower festivals and the friendly people make Madeira a truly wonderful experience.

 

•These prices are based on 2 people sharing the accommodation. There will be an additional charge of 50 euros per person, per week during the Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter periods and 75 euros per person, per week during the Christmas period. There is a reduced rate of between 1,200 - 1600 euros per month for the Autumn, Winter, Spring and Summer periods, based on 2 people sharing. A 'BOOKING DEPOSIT' of 25% is required (non refundable) and the balance must be paid 6 weeks before arrival. If the visit is to be made within a 6 week period the full amount is required. No reminders of non payment will be sent. A refundable 'SECURITY DEPOSIT' of 200 euros must be sent with the balance or paid on arrival. This is to cover against damage and breakages. This can be in the form of a cheque which will be returned once the property has been inspected at the end of the visit.

•In the event of a 'CANCELLATION' the 'BOOKING DEPOSIT' will not be refunded but any other money paid will be considered, depending on the time of the cancellation.

'CHANGES TO BOOKINGS' must be made in writing and whilst every effort will be made to accommodate your wishes, this cannot be guaranteed. 'PERSONAL INSURANCE' should be taken out by each guest, as personal belongings will not be insured. 'CHECK IN TIME' will be available from 3.00pm on the day of arrival and 'CHECK OUT TIME' on the day of departure must be no later than 11.00am. 'CLEANING' for guests staying longer than 1 week, can be arranged at an extra charge of 8 euros per hour, per cleaner (usually 2 are required).

'COLLECTION FROM AIRPORT' can be arranged at an additional charge of 50 euros, for up to 3 people sharing. Clean linen and towels will be provided for the arrival of guests but if additional laundry is required during the stay there will be an additional charge.
