Madalena do Mar is a sea side village situated between Ponta do Sol and Calheta along the west coast.
A recent addition to the village is a new esplanade, which has enhanced the bathing and swimming area, with a few cafe's and bars and a pier. It has become a popular spot for the locals as the attractive village and surrounding area has a lot to offer in a rural and ambient setting.
